Community Improvement Plan
The Downtown Whitby Community Improvement Plan (CIP) was adopted by Council on June 25, 2018.
- The CIP provides a “toolbox” of incentive programs aimed to help transform the Downtown into a dynamic, social, and cultural district by investing in the construction of new residential units and the rehabilitation of commercial and office buildings in Whitby’s historic core.
- The Downtown Whitby Community Improvement Project Area is centered at the intersection of Brock and Dundas Streets with varying incentives targeted to the Historic Downtown Whitby Priority Area.
- The Downtown Whitby CIP By-law provides additional information including definitions related to the Development Charge program.
